On December 4th, 2021, EndingCOVID x Pets4Purpose participated in MAPO’s Holiday Shoutout Drive by Giveaway at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows. Pets4Purpose, led by Associate Director Sejal Sekhar, repurposes gently used t-shirts to create dog toys in exchange for donations. Thanks to Sejal's efforts, Pets4Purpose was able to raise enough money for 75 blankets.



MAPO’s Holiday Shoutout Drive by Giveaway raised items to help serve the community during the winter months. Coats, sweaters, hats, scarfs, gloves, and blankets were donated to help further the mission of Metro Area Professional Organization, otherwise known as MAPO. MAPO is a non-profit organization who honors those who are making a difference in their community and helping those who are less fortunate. The organization was founded back in 2010 by Rev. Dr. John Q. Owens and Dr. Dorothy Owens who work to not only serve our communities, but also shape the next generation to make a difference.
